we are thrilled to host folks for these important milestones! from middlebury, a 25-minute drive will take you through the rolling countryside. before you know it, you will drive through the quaint town of bristol. head over to this page to read about things to do in the area, where to eat, shop, swim, drink coffee… we are located 3.5 miles outside of downtown bristol. folks seem to really enjoy their stay at our tranquil inn during these big weekends. in the evening, we open our restaurant for dinner and we’d love for you to join us! if you are interested in a private dinner party, please send us an email (info@thetillermanvt.com).

  • what weekends are considered middlebury college special weekends?

    >> graduation weekend (memorial day weekend)

    >> february graduation weekend

    >> fall family weekend

  • when are rooms released for reservations?

    >> our rooms can be booked one year in advance, starting at 9am on monday after graduation weekend or fall family weekend. bookings can be made over the phone. our online booking system allows bookings 180 days in advance.

  • can I book multiple rooms?

    >> we allow two rooms per family

  • does your special policy apply to guests who aren’t here for middlebury college weekends?

    >> yes!

policies:

  • deposit policy: a 50% deposit is due at the time of reservation

  • cancellation policy for middelbury graduation:

    • if you cancel your reservation 180 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will return your deposit, less a $100 cancellation fee per room.

    • if you cancel your reservation within the period of 179 to 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will keep your 50% deposit.

    • if you cancel your reservation less than 45 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will be charged the total amount of your booking.

    • organic cotton brooklinen sheets, pillows and towels

    • local, organic ursa major bath products – shampoo, conditioner, body wash & face wipes

    • blow dryer

    • clothing steamer

    • mini fridge with complementary spindrift seltzers upon arrival

    • a closet with hangers

    • airconditioning/heatpump

    • portable fan

  • a vegetarian breakfast and 24/7 coffee and tea station.

    • breakfast consists of local yoghurt, house made granola, fresh fruits, farm fresh boiled eggs and pastries (house made scones and local maple pastry)

    • local french press coffee - regular & decaf - from brio coffeeworks

    • locally curated loose-leaf tea from stoneleaf teahouse

  • there is a maximum occupancy for our rooms, an extra person over the age of 4 adds $40 per night. we put a trifold memory foam mattress on the floor, usually at the foot of the king/queen bed. this works really well for kids and teens.

    • check in is at 3pm or after. check out is by 10am

    • we have a 2 night minimum

    • rates are subject to availability and can change at any time. all rates are subject to a 9% vermont rooms tax.

    • no pets are allowed on the property with the exception of service animals

    • no smoking on the property

    • guests are responsible for room damage

    • deposit policy: a 50% deposit is due at the time of reservation.

    • cancellation policy:

      • if you cancel your reservation 14 days or more prior to your scheduled arrival date, we will return your deposit, less a $100.00 cancellation fee per room.

      • if you cancel your reservation within the period of 13 to 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will be charged the full amount of the deposit (50% of the total amount).

      • if you cancel your reservation less than 7 days prior to your scheduled arrival date, you will be charged the total amount of your booking.

  • the parlor is a common space where our inn guests can hang out during the day, and where breakfast is served in the morning.

    our restaurant downstairs is opon for dinner wednesday-saturday, 4:30-8pm. we love having our inn guests for dinner! reservations are recommended.
