the tillerman is an inn, restaurant and events space located just outside the rockwellesque town of bristol, vermont. we work on a historic property that dates back to the late 1700's. our vibe is old new england meets northern california meets a flower market meets a farmers market meets a warm vibrant community. wool, wood, leather, copper, natural fibers and rich colors are the look. palo santo, pine, and wild sage is our smell.
our food is impeccably sourced from local farms, producers, vendors, makers and ranchers. we are entirely committed to quality and keeping our food simple, rustic served in a family style format. eating at the tillerman is like going to a dinner party at your friend's house who also happens to be the best cook and host you know. when folks leave here they feel like they have not only had a beautiful meal but also an experience that feeds the soul.

event staff for 2025 wedding season
we are looking for catering professionals to commit to saturday dates in may -october. experience in events or weddings necessary, bartending experience a plus! tasks range from setting tables to bartending to set/up breakdown of all event spaces.
requirements:
impeccable & experienced customer service skills
must be able and willing to work long shifts on your feet with lots of movement and lifting
attention to detail
you’ll be reporting to: our events coordinator
average hours: noon-10pm, or 2pm- midnight on saturdays
pay: range between $25 - $50/hour depending on the event size
part time inn keeping/breakfast position
we are looking for someone to help out several mornings a week to prepare and serve breakfast to our inn guests. we offer a light breakfast from 8am to 10am consisting of fresh fruit, yogurt and granola, baked goods and boiled eggs. while there isn’t much cooking involved we would still like someone who is very comfortable with food and has a strong attention to detail.
once breakfast is out out for guests you will then host them and tend to the morning hours by doing tasks such as starting a fire, turning on music, clearing dishes as needed, refilling milk and coffee as needed and tidying areas as you go. it is very important that you be comfortable socially, interacting and friendly with guests. if making small talk is not for you than this position probably isn’t either : )
this position also consists of some light inn keeping after breakfast is cleaned up and put away. after guests check out tasks include clearing plates and garbage from rooms, pulling some laundry and starting a load, touch up cleaning in the downstairs bathrooms and emptying trash in the common areas
hours : 7:15 am to 11:15am
3 to 5 days per week: flexible (but usually always saturday and sunday)
pay : range between $15 - $25/hour depending on experience
